Forming a Non-Profit in DuPage County

You will not only have to file initial paperwork with the Illinois Attorney General and the Illinois Secretary of State, but your nonprofits must file annual financial reports as well. After completing the organization’s articles of incorporation, nonprofit organizations in DuPage County must also file their Articles of Incorporation (Form NFP 102.10) with the Secretary of State’s Office, located at:

After filing with the Secretary of State, you should receive your certificate of incorporation. Within 15 days of receiving this certificate, you’ll need to register both the certificate and the articles of incorporation with the DuPage Recorder of Deeds, located at:
